Bernhard Bohnenberger, President, Six Senses Resorts & Spas

A German citizen, joined Six Senses Resorts & Spas in late 1991 as Development Director, and was appointed Managing Director of the company at the beginning of 1996. As a Lausanne Hotel School graduate, Bernhard has a strong traditional hotel education at one of the world’s best hotel schools. He is also a gifted linguist being fluent in five languages with knowledge of several more. Bernhard’s hotel work experience includes the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Munich, Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich and The Peninsula, Hong Kong. Since joining Six Senses, Bernhard has been working on a multitude of resort projects exposing him to the market in many countries. His varied background, both in the more conventional city hotel organization as well as the more entrepreneurial resort market provide him with the ideal platform to lead Six Senses.
