Christian G Buchli joined Six Senses in 2003 as Corporate Projects Director. His previous role was Construction Manager and Owner's Representative for serviced apartment projects in Bangkok CBD, a 230-room resort in Fiji, and renovation of the 700-room Makati Shangri-La in Manila. From 1997 to 2000, he headed the Technical Services and Projects Division of Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotels, focusing on the completion of the 380-room "The Peninsular Bangkok". Christian's earlier projects had been in Europe and the Middle East where he was involved in civil and industrial projects for GRUNER AG/Basel - Consulting Engineers, and MOTCO - AG-General Contractor, Zurich.
