Godfrey joined Six Senses in January 2005, as the Resort Manager of Six Senses first and flagship resort: Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. Later that year he transferred to Six Senses Hua Hin on the verdant coast of the Gulf of Siam in Thailand. In July 2007 Godfrey was promoted to the position of General Manager and moved to Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam, on the South China Sea, where he spent three years, making the resort a successful and award-winning property.  Godfrey has extensive experience of the hospitality industry. His first role was as receptionist in the Gulf Hotel, Bahrain, where he rose through the ranks, leaving 13 years later as Night Manager. He then moved to Le Meridien, Port Vila Resort & Casino as Rooms Manager and five years later as Resort Manager to the Parrot Cay Resort & Spa in the Turks & Caicos in the British West Indies.
