Each New Year begins in Thailand on 13th of April with the Songkran celebration, three days of fun! The Thai New Year tradition dates back to the early immigrants from India who brought many traditions and rituals with them to Southeast Asia.  The New Year is a celebration of water at the hottest time of year and is thought to bring on the monsoon rains which sustain life in this rice growing region.

We at the Evason Phuket would like to invite you to join our Songkran Festival. On 13th of April we will celebrate the Thai New Year with a delightful evening filled with traditional Thai music and dance, and a delicious Thai buffet.
