Six Senses Resorts & Spas will help tackling water related issues through its Clean Water Projects. The pressing issues are:
- United Nations Millennium Development Goal’s number 7 target is to halve, by 2015, the proportion of the population without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation.
- 1 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water
- 2.5 billion lack access to basic sanitation services.
- 4 children die of water related disease every minute

The paradox is that according to Earth Policy Institute a doubling of the world’s USD 15 billion annual spending is required reach the goal. However, this is little compared to the USD 100 billion spent on bottled water annually.
Six Senses would like to do its part. 50% of water sales revenue will be distributed to Clean Water Projects through three organisations:
