Pilates Guru Lynne Robinson Returns to Six Senses Spa at Zighy Bay

Six Senses Home Office, Bangkok – 9 September 2013

Oman’s Leading Spa Resort* Six Senses Zighy Bay welcomes the return of internationally acclaimed “Queen of Pilates”** Lynne Robinson.  Her Pilates retreat will run from 7th through 10th November, 2013 for in house guests of the beach resort.  Guests can join intimate group mat-work classes, including a nightly starlight session atop the Spa’s open-air pavilion.  Limited private sessions are also on offer for the most bespoke personal workout available in the region.  Private sessions will focus on one of three modes: Pilates for motherhood; Pilates for sports performance; Pilates for relaxation.***

Lynne Robinson is renowned for the quality and detail of her teaching.  Originally a school teacher, Lynne discovered Pilates in 1992. After completing her training, she resolved to make Pilates as accessible as possible to the typical person by creating a completely new approach. As a result, she founded Body Control Pilates in 1996.  This breadth of experience honed her ability to ensure, regardless of a student’s level of fitness or Pilates experience, everyone can get the most from his or her Pilates sessions.

Lynne’s clients have included Hugh Grant, Liz Hurley, Sophie Dahl and Pat Cash as well as top sports teams. She has worked with Chelsea Football Club for several years, teaching first-team players and helping with injury rehabilitation. Lynne is proud to be a Visiting Wellness Practitioner at Six Senses Zighy Bay since 2011.

Steve Harvey, Director of Spa and Wellness at Six Senses Zighy Bay raves about Lynne’s fourth return to the Spa’s holistic calendar of Wellness experts: “Lynne’s fourth retreat launches our 2013-14 season of Wellness expertise.  Guests rave about her teaching prowess and style, the ease of the lessons, the clarity of developing an at-home workout routine, and the sustainable results.”

The Spa’s holistic calendar is a fundamental support to the resort’s five Wellness programmes.****  Launched in 2011, guests can subscribe to three, five and seven day programmes: Sense of Detox; Sense of Functional Fitness; Sense of DeStress; Sense of Oman; Sense of Adventure.  Each programme begins with a Wellness consultation with Steve Harvey, includes hideaway accommodation, daily breakfast, two organic juices from the Spa’s juice bar, access to daily wellness activities, access to the Spa facilities (including the outdoor Jungle Gym), in addition to the prescribed treatments and training inclusions.
