Six Senses Destination Spas’ Social and Environmental Programme is developed in line with the Six Senses core purpose: “To create innovative and enriching experiences in a sustainable environment.”
One particular feature of the Six Senses Destination Spa in Phuket is that all the landscaping is edible. Fruits, vegetables and herbs are all grown on the property are being grown in a fully organic manner without the use of herbicides or non-organic pesticides, under our own supervision. Because we are located on a private island, and provisions need to be brought in by boat, the edible landscaping reduces the amount of boat trips to be made. This way fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions are considerably reduced, contributing to a more sustainable and cleaner environment.
