An important part of our environmental efforts is to
create environmental awareness among our hosts, guests
and local community. Our hosts undergo the Six Senses
mandatory environmental awareness training, the Green
Module, as well as several training sessions particularly
adapted to Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay. Such
trainings include waste separation, energy and water
conservation, local flora and fauna. Environmental
information is also displayed on the notice boards and is
filed and kept available for all hosts to read. In our villas,
we have placed the “Little Green Book”, a compendium
that guides our guests through our environmental efforts
and invites them to help us wherever possible. Whenever
we are arranging special environmental activities we are
always welcoming our guests to join. At Six Senses
Hideaway Zighy Bay we also see the importance of
spreading environmental awareness beyond our Hideaway
and are therefore in constant dialogue with the
community here in Zighy Bay as well as with the local
municipality, neighbouring resorts, and the Ministry of
Environment and Climate Affairs in Muscat.
