SIX SENSES Resorts & Spas have commenced rebranding their EVASON HIDEAWAY properties to SIX SENSES HIDEAWAY. This significant decision is in response to market surveys which showed that ‘Six Senses’ – a group brand that has thus far been reserved for the Six Senses Spa division, enjoyed high global recognition and was very indicative of the unique lifestyle experiences offered by the group’s boutique resorts.

  2. A Host of Dining Experiences at Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay - Oman

Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay on Oman’s Musandam Peninsula has created a host of innovative and adventurous dining experiences that truly reflect the brand's positioning of Redefining Experiences. Although scheduled to open on 15 January 2008, the resort is already welcoming guests who are eager to experience the first Six Senses Hideaway outside of Asia.

  3. Vatulele Island Resort Commences Upgrading of Property

Vatulele Island Resort, the operation of which was recently taken over by Six Senses Resorts & Spas, is to commence a significant property upgrade programme, which will cumulate with the re-launch of Vatulele as a Six Senses Hideaway. The full re-launch is expected to take place towards the end of 2008.

  4. Six Senses Spas Introduces Resident Ayurvedic and Specialist Practitioners in Maldives

Six Senses Spas at Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili in the Maldives have taken their holistic wellness programmes to a higher level with the introduction of resident Ayurvedic medical doctors at both locations, plus a certified resident naturopath at Soneva Fushi.

Six Senses Spas has introduced a new urban spa and gym experience promoting a distinct approach to well-being by combining uniquely designed holistic fitness training programmes with personalized spa treatments. The Gym by Six Senses Spas at Hotel Arts Barcelona is the first gymnasium that the multi-award winning spa brand has opened.

  7. Six Senses Wins Prestigious Social and Environment Award

Six Senses Resorts & Spas received the “Best-of-show” Grand Award 2007 for its Social and Environment Conscience programme by PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) at the annual Travel Mart 2007. Other Grand Award winners at the Bali event were Macau Government Tourist Office for Heritage, Ministry of Tourism – Government of India (Incredible India) Marketing, and Sri Lanka for Education and Training.

  8. Hospitality Awards for Six Senses Hideaway Samui - A Sala Property

The annual Thai Hospitality Awards took place on in September 2007 at the Siam Paragon, Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok. The event recognises twenty members of the Thai hospitality industry with a ‘Hospy Award’ in recognition of their work related performance.

  9. Six Senses Resorts & Spas Extends Services at Newly Established Group Office in London

Focus of the recently-established London Office of Six Senses Resorts & Spas, has been extended by the relocation of Alex Staartjes from the group’s Bangkok Hub.

This will enable him to better address the function of his expanded role: Manager Exclusive Corporate Relations.
