Much emphasis is placed on creating awareness of environmental issues amongst guests and hosts. During their stay, guests have the opportunity to read the "Little Green Book", a compendium with information on various aspects of "green" holidays. This includes sections on sustainable experiences, our sustainability policy, responsible behaviour in the reef as well as several sections on the local flora and fauna. Guests are also given presentations by the marine biologist to draw attention to the unique environment Soneva Fushi is located in, and garden tours by the permaculturist to highlight organic gardening approaches.

Hosts are given basic but also more specific environmental awareness training immediately after their recruitment and are regularly involved in events to increase environmental awareness such as tree planting and reef cleaning. Environmental information is also displayed on the host notice board.
