At Six Senses, our passion for sustainable living is group wide. Each property communicates the work they do on and off site at the Earth Lab. Around the world, we’re involved in community outreach, wildlife, plant, soil and water conservation, farm-to-fork initiatives, zero waste, upcycling, and bottling our own drinking water, saving around 2 million plastic bottles a year.

Now, we’re bringing some of these activities to you at home!

Daily Earth Lab Live

To celebrate our Earth Lab initiatives, and inspired by this year’s Earth Day theme of Restore Our Earth, we’re launching our own Earth Lab Live. Every day from April 1 until the big day on April 22, we’ll be shining a spotlight on sustainability activities from our resorts via our Six Senses Instagram channel.

What’s on?

Turn your kids into Junior Eco Warriors! Six Senses Yao Noi, Thailand will showcase a fun activity for everyone at home. Here’s one we made earlier …

Inspired by the bounty of olive oil in Greece, Six Senses Spa Elounda will teach you how to make an organic, luxurious, chemical-free body oil. Perfect for skin that has battled the elements all winter.

Six Senses Fiji is focusing on zero waste by turning coffee grounds into coffee scrubs fit for any spa so check out their step-by-step video. Coffee grounds are also the menu at Six Senses Samui, this time mixed with goat’s milk into soap. Milking your own goat is optional.

This next activity can be done wherever you live. Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali will guide you on how to grow your own fruit and veg by harvesting seeds from tomatoes, chili and kale. The perfect virtuous circle.

Resort updates

Over the 3-week period, our properties will also feature local highlights including meeting our black-shanked douc langurs to learning artisan trades.

For all this and more, watch Earth Lab Live for your daily dose of sustainability from April 1 until Earth Day on April 22 via our Six Senses Instagram channel.
