May 11, 2020 - Travel may temporarily be grounded; however, we all know the secret to a great vacation is in the planning. Check out the latest updates and new openings within the Six Senses portfolio.
We’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on new renovations and openings. Let’s unveil a few for you.
Six Senses Samui is home to our new beach bar and pool side lounge – serving up unpretentious wholesome flavors from our wood-fired oven and grill, not forgetting our mixologists tantalizing tipples. It is a "come as you are" venue to enjoy soaking up the sun or lounging under the moonlight whilst watching your favorite movie. Drift at the Beach also serves as the perfect location for beach-side weddings, celebrations or meetings, supplemented by our stunning new two-bedroom Beach Reserve located adjacent once you're partied out!
With its design inspired in part by the nests of the islands’s resident Hornbills, The Hilltop at Six Senses Yao Noi has reopened after an extensive renovation. Now home to The Tasting Room and a relaxed bar complete with daybeds, trampoline nets and a swinging bridge, The Hilltop still offers guests one of the best views in Southeast Asia overlooking Phang Nga Bay. The iconic infinity-edge pool has also been given a fresh new look for Insta-worthy swimming snaps.
Six Senses Bumthang completes the circuit of five lodges that comprises Six Senses Bhutan. Carefully built as a forest within a forest, Six Senses Bumthang sits in the spiritual heartland of Bhutan and offers eight spacious suites as well as a beautifully appointed two-bedroom villa. The forests are dotted with monasteries and are an ideal springboard to consider the power of community as you can eat lunch in the home of a local family or hone your football skills with young monks. Bhutan leads the world by measuring success in terms of Gross National Happiness and we do everything we can to uphold this approach as you travel around from lodge to lodge. Six Senses Bhutan has just been named in the Condé Nast Traveller 2020 Hot List.
“Where Six Senses steals a march on rivals is that it integrates wellness into every element, from sustainable building materials to restaurant menus, but it also has superior health screening to underpin the wonder of Bhutan with sound long-term advice. In just a week, stress levels will have plummeted, giving a boost to your own Gross Personal Happiness.”
When it opens, Six Senses Shaharut will showcase the enchanting landscapes and rich Biblical heritage of Israel’s Negev Desert. The architecture of the 60 suites and villas has been designed to integrate into the desert topography and preserve the natural terrain whilst the myriad activities and experiences on offer are out-of-the-ordinary. The resort is easily reachable from Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Petra, allowing for magical itineraries combining Jordan and Israel.
Six Senses Fort Barwara occupies a 14th-century royal fort. A significant conservation project, the fort has been sensitively preserved and converted to house two restaurants, a bar and lounge, Six Senses Spa, two swimming pools and 48 suites within the site’s original walls.
It offers a resting point during a busy touring itinerary of Rajasthan and is within easy striking distance of Ranthambore National Park for those looking to take a walk on the wild side with the local tiger population.
Keep an eye on our new openings for 2020 and 2021.
