Over four days, four elements guide your journey. A return to yourself on the shores of the Aegean.
On the first evening, you meet the group in darkness. Over tea, you begin to recognize voices, scents, and sounds without seeing the people around you. Using your hands, you’ll create something that remains unseen until the final morning. The next day begins with a shared breakfast in silence, followed by a private hammam ritual of heat, steam and water. Later, guided by Govinda, you’ll explore movement and breath, supported by the warm waters of the Aegean.
On the third day, you meet the sea before sunrise. Later, you explore the transformative power of fire, witnessing the rhythm and vibration of the flames as the sun sets. Here, you have the option to offer a page of your writing to the fire. On the final morning, you return to the same room. This time, in daylight, you see what you created in darkness and share tea together.
Grounded in Stillness offers four days to slow down, engage your senses, and explore a different way of being, with yourself, others, and the world around you.

This retreat may be for you if you are curious about noticing the world around you a little differently. What happens when you meet someone before seeing them? When you share a table without words? When movement begins without choreography? And when you return to the same place and it feels different? You don't need to be looking for transformation, or arrive with anything to achieve. Just curiosity and an openness to what unfolds.

Jinyoung Laue is a sensory experience curator with a background in architecture, movement, and bodywork. Her practice explores how light, sound, movement, and touch shape perception, bringing greater awareness to what often goes unnoticed. For the Kaplankaya edition, she is joined by Govinda Chiesa, a bodywork practitioner specializing in somatic work, with over a decade of experience in hospitality. His practice guides attention inward, helping people tune into the body’s subtle signals.
