Junior Marine Biology: Halloween Special

The ocean can be a spooky place so what better day to learn about its fantastically terrifying creatures than on Halloween? We’ve missed you these last few months and can’t wait to receive your emails again. Be sure to send all your work to [email protected]

There are worksheets after videos 1 and 3 that can be printed before you start. Once you’re ready to get started, go ahead and press play on the first video.

On the worksheet below, try and match up the skeletons with the animals they belong to. Send a picture of your finished worksheet to [email protected].

Download the Skeleton Worksheet here.

It’s time to get crafty! With the help of an adult, why not make your own parasitic Jack-o-lantern? You can carve it from a fruit like a pumpkin (if you are using a knife make sure an adult is there to help) or use paper, just like we did in episode 10. Send a picture of your spooky marine lantern to [email protected]

We want to hear your spookiest marine story! Use the worksheet below to help you write it and, once you’re finished, share it with your friends, family and us. Email us ([email protected]) a video reading it out loud or a picture of it written down, it’s up to you!

Download the Spooky Story Worksheet here.

Thank you for joining us on this spooky adventure. We hope you have an amazing Halloween and have enjoyed learning about the scary marine life. Sea you soon for our next special episode!
