Thailand, Vietnam, and Israel highlights

June 6, 2022 - With no testing required for vaccinated travelers, Thailand, Vietnam, and Israel are back in business. Here’s a round-up of our latest highlights.

  • Main Swimming Pool

Life is sunny (and sandy) again. With relaxed entry requirements, now is a great time to plan trips for your clients to our tropical island and desert resorts.

Six Senses Yao Noi: Thailand

Just 45 minutes from Phuket, this magical resort is as close to nature’s luxury as you can be. Your clients can spend their days relaxing by their pool complete with sundeck, followed by an outdoor movie under star-filled nights at Mai Thai beach. Adventure-seekers can channel their inner James Bond and zip around the bay’s picturesque islands before trying their hands – and legs – at traditional Muay Thai boxing.

If you have clients looking for the ultimate romantic villa, consider booking The View, our most spacious one-bedroom villa. Sweeping 360-degree vistas of lush tropical landscapes out to Phang Nga Bay with its legendary limestone karsts provide the ultimate backdrop. This vast one-bedroom villa feels exceptionally spacious, with double-height vaulted ceilings and expansive windows revealing breathtaking panoramas at every turn. A generous infinity-edge pool with netting hammock extensions, plus a large terrace, offer total privacy for sunning. The pool shack completes the scene with do-it-yourself cocktails of the day.

Six Senses Samui: Thailand

Six Senses Samui is set on a gently sloping headland at the northern tip of Samui. The 67 private villas, many with personal pools, are landscaped within natural vegetation and feature glorious panoramas out to the Gulf of Thailand. The resort has reopened in time for the summer, and guests are enjoying all that this secluded retreat has to offer.

Top of their list to visit is Drift at the Beach, the resort’s beach club. Home to a relaxed beach bar and restaurant – with a wood fired pizza oven for fresh flatbreads – and a new swimming pool, Drift at the Beach allows guests to enjoy lazy days in the sun and movies and cocktails under the stars once night has fallen. It also serves as the perfect location for a beachside party (where better to celebrate a postponed wedding?) with a handy two-bedroom Beach Reserve located nearby to lay sleepy heads once the last song has been sung.

Six Senses Con Dao: Vietnam

Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty within a protected National and Marine Park, Six Senses Con Dao sits on a two-kilometer stretch of golden sand, looking out to the sapphire ocean and the curve of the bay, and sheltered by a verdant forest. Six Senses Con Dao offers 50 villas, all with private infinity pools overlooking the ocean views.

In collaboration with the National Park, Six Senses Con Dao has become the proud custodian of selected clutches of rare, endangered turtle eggs laid locally. “Let’s Get Cracking” has since been home to many new hatchlings, where guests participate in the conservation efforts by joining the early morning hatchling releases right on the resort’s beach. A proportion of the profits goes towards their future preservation.

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay: Vietnam

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay sits on a dramatic bay that gives the feeling of an island with impressive rock formations overlooking the sea. A golden sand beach and towering mountains add to the sense of being intimately at one with nature. The family-friendly resort is styled to local Vietnamese traditions and all 59 personal villas offer private plunge pools.

The resort’s team was thrilled when they recently received the news that a new plant has been officially recognized and named after the resort: Six Senses Turmeric. “This discovery helps create more awareness about the rich biodiversity of the peninsula and plays an important role in its safeguarding and conservation,” said Emmy Nguyen Thi Thuy, Regional Director of Sustainability of Six Senses. As the first person to spot the plant, General Manager Andrew Whiffen recalled, “In August 2020, while hiking with guests, I came across a small white flower right in the middle of the trail. It looked unusual, and I had never come across it before. Over the next few months, we found more of these flowers in the same area, so I took photos and shared them with the Green Viêt team. By fall 2021, the flower had returned in even greater numbers.”

Six Senses Shaharut: Israel

With its secluded setting, Six Senses Shaharut has the obvious advantage of complete privacy. It aims to bring guests in balance with nature while kicking back and enjoying traditional desert hospitality and rich Nabataean history, delivered with uncompromising eco-conscious care and attention.

One of the biggest assets is the abundant space, essential for meeting today’s highest safety and hospitality standards. There are just 60 suites and villas spread across the expansive desert landscape, along with a signature spa that offers guests a much-needed place for respite. The breathtaking natural beauty and authentic desert adventures will satisfy this year’s pent-up wanderlust. From immersive Kibbutz experiences to stargazing sessions, camel treks through the luminous Negev desert, or floating in the Dead Sea, the aim is to leave enriched and reconnected.
