SSBTN Paro Main Facilities

Flights to Paro Airport (PBH) are available from Bangkok, Singapore, Kathmandu, Dhaka and New Delhi, served by Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines.

While visiting Bhutan, all foreign tourists must be accompanied by a licensed guide at all times. Restricted areas require permits applied through the immigration office in Thimphu. Checkpoints are located at road junctions throughout the country and independent travelling by foreign tourists (except for citizens of India, Bangladesh, and Maldives) is strictly prohibited.

Visa Requirements:
Please note that all foreign nationals visiting the Kingdom (except Indian, Maldivian, and Bangladeshi nationals) must apply for a tourist visa and pay the corresponding Bhutanese government fees (entry visa fee, sustainable development / royalty fee and surcharges in advance, a process in which Six Senses Bhutan can assist you. Visa processing takes approximately one to two weeks to complete, provided that all formalities are secured accordingly.

In addition, as mandated by law, all tourists must be accompanied by a licensed guide at all times when travelling within the Kingdom.
