Scream for Complimentary Ice Cream at Six Senses Resorts

BANGKOK - May 30, 2017 – Ice cream lovers rejoice. The mouth-watering frozen delights at Six Senses resorts are handmade, full of local healthy ingredients and empty of processed rubbish. What’s more, they are complimentary at selected times during each day, which means it’s always ice cream o’clock in one of the worldwide destinations.

These tempting summer treats are a rainbow of colors and a spectrum of natural flavors. The selections and toppings vary from day to day to keep taste buds tantalized and decision-making skills honed. Do you go for the Japanese Green Tea or Vietnamese Coffee? Toffee Banana Ginger or Black Forest and Lemongrass?

At Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives, the complimentary line-up stretches to 42 flavors introducing guests to tropical Pandan and Honeydew Melon. Healthier options (did you know ice cream is already a source of vitamins A through to E?) offer dairy-free Coconut, sugar-free natural Yoghurt and dairy-free/sugar-free Banana. On the island of Félicité in Seychelles, the Six Senses Zil Pasyon ice cream expert cruises around the island in a truck to serve guests as they dip their toes into the pool. The free ice cream is made from local fruit with the house specialty created from vanilla beans harvested from the island’s own plantation.

Just before 3:00 pm every day, the excitement mounts at Six Senses Samui as guests collect at the Ice Cream Hut in anticipation for the flavor of the day, which might entail Belgian Dark Chocolate, Lychee, Lemongrass or Tamarind. Staying in Thailand, Six Senses Yao Noi introduces more adventurous guests to Jackfruit, Basil Lime, and Almond Milk, with a recently-introduced specialty being Chalong Bay Rum & Raisin. The rum is made from Thai sugarcane and distilled by hand in nearby Phuket.

Ice cream is treated as a serious sport across Six Senses resorts, with each one competing to make its mark. Opened in 2016, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain in China has already caught up to the leading pack with a lineup of flavors crafted from seasonal fruit, local mountain honey and raisins, together with an array of toppings. Oman’s Six Senses Zighy Bay offers a comprehensive menu of ice cream and sorbet in its restaurants and in-villa dining, while at the main beach bar there is an all-day flow of gorgeousness that includes classic Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate, also with a choice of toppings.

In Vietnam, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay offers 15 flavors every day from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at Deli Corner, comprising Passion Fruit Mango, Lime and Coffee together with selected toppings and cookies. The aptly named Delicious Café at the island resort of Six Senses Con Dao lures guests from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm with free treats including Vanilla Nutella, Banana Peanut Butter & Chocolate and Rhubarb & Ginger ice cream plus Banana, Blackberry and Yoghurt sorbets.

Awakening all the senses is intrinsic to the Six Senses ethos, and each resort works hard to welcome guests with whole new taste sensations. They are known for being a little bit quirky in the way they get guests to unwind – perhaps it is no coincidence stressed backwards reads desserts.
