Responsibly conserving heritage
During the design and development of Six Senses Duxton, much care was put into recreating the hotel with reutilization in mind. Taking into account the heat and humidity of Singapore, insulated glazing has been applied in order to ensure the energy consumption is reduced as less interior heat needs to be cooled down.

Soap for Communities
Working with Clean The World Asia, we recycle all the bars of soap left behind by hotel guests into as good as new bars of soap for low-income communities and also for disaster relief efforts. This aligns with our sustainable development goal of supporting clean water and sanitation.

Packaging & Sustainable Singapore Blueprint
This is our hotel-wide commitment to engage with our suppliers in reducing packaging waste and managing waste responsibly. Anything that can't be reused is segregated and recycled using recycling plants and waste-to-energy plants to align with the Sustainable Singapore Blueprint - Towards a Zero Waste Nation by 2030.

Fish purchasing and sustainable fishing guidelines
Six Senses Duxton purchases the majority of its seafood from local fish farmers who demonstrate sustainable farming processes. What's more we maintain a list of no-take species: species of fish which are protected under environmental law and species considered threatened globally.

We support local entrepreneurs who believe in the same standards as we do by first looking at local suppliers before we expand our search regionally. From in-room minibar items to restaurant ingredients to hotel operating supplies, priority has always been to source locally.
