On this intimate jewel of Seychelles it's your choice whether you want to step in tune with nature or take a dip with the turtles! The island is an ecological marvel, so we do everything we can to sustain its integrity. Our social and environmental projects are not obligations, they are our motivations and why we bounce out of bed every day.
Environmental Responsibility
Environmental standards are not to be accepted but exceeded, thereby create a new benchmark to drastically reduce our footprint on these sands.

Restoring island ecology
We only have plants, shrubs and trees indigenous or endemic to Seychelles, setting Six Senses Zil Pasyon apart from the "artificial" landscapes of other resorts. Our landscaping team has worked for a decade to eradicate invasive Coco-plum and reintroduce authentic species of trees and plants. The habitats are rich and productive so a happy result will be the return of endemic birds including the Seychelles Magpie Robin, Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher, Seychelles Whiteye, Seychelles Warbler, Seychelles Fody. As coastal habitats are also much improved, we hope to see seabirds returning in numbers to nest.

Coral reef restoration
We collaborate with local NGOs: Ramos Marine and Island Reserve in projects that aim to restore a seafloor area of about 6,500 square feet (600 square meters). During a one-year period, corals grew over 200 percent, with a range of between 85 and 422 percent per harvested segment. In the last six months of 2018, the 1,800 coral fragments have grown between 62 and 174 percent, and the first coral transplantation is underway under the watchful eye of our Sustainability Manager and Sustainability Team. While you’re with us, we encourage you to swim the lines and see the plantation for yourself.

Turtle conservation
The Turtle Conservation Project includes the monitoring, tagging and photo identification of turtles. The project started in September 2017 with Turtle Action Group Seychelles (TAGS) led by Dr. Jeanne A. Mortimer and the Seychelles National Park Authority (SNPA). The island has always been a nesting site for green and hawksbill turtles. Nesting season starts from October and runs to April. We monitoring nesting turtles and the hatchlings to ensure that no disturbance is created (these big miracles start out tiny), and at the same time creating an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Each villa has two solar panels on the roof for producing hot water.

Youth engagement
We engage with the local community through the younger generations with the belief that if we want to educate and spread the word about sustainability and best practices we should do it through our youth. To this end we collaborate with two local schools which are also the closest to Félicité. We also organize educational visits, donations and school lessons to the children.
