From June to August, Bhutan’s lush landscapes come alive with colorful flora – a treat for photographers and nature lovers. March to April and September to November offer pleasant weather for hiking and many all-day festivals take place in spring and autumn, where monks perform special masked dances that are inspirations of enlightened beings in history in the dzongs (fortresses) and monasteries. The Thunder Dragon never hibernates; indeed, December to February bring sunny days and clear mountain views right across the snowcapped Himalayas. Why not follow your own winter’s tale while celebrating family and setting your intention for the year ahead?
