Six Senses Bumthang

How to get to Six Senses Bumthang

The memorable drive to the most easterly located lodge within Six Senses Bhutan from Gangtey takes you through terraced farmland, deep river valleys, and precariously perched farmhouses. On the way up, it's not uncommon to see herds of yaks and if you’re lucky, the occasional quick sightings of wild boar, deer, rare pheasants and other native animals. The commanding Trongsa Dzong, royal seat of the first two kings of the Wangchuck dynasty, sits above the roaring Mangde Chhu. Rise over the Yotong La Mountains which often disappear into cloud and mist and down into the Chumey Valley, home of Bhutan’s famous Yathra weaving.
