Available only between the short sekki seasons of Kokuu and Boushu, this Matcha Afternoon Tea showcases premium teas from Kyoto’s renowned tea house, Ippodo Tea Co. As a welcome drink, sip a Gyokuro “Rinpo.” Slowly cold-brewed, this cup of tea offers a rich, mellow umami and a soothing aroma to settle you into your day.
Matcha from Ippodo is also incorporated into sweet and savory creations. Taste amazake-infused verrine, a citrus tartlet, smoked trout wrapped with matcha, and matcha and white chocolate scones. Beyond matcha, discover the spirit of Japanese tea culture with hojicha cream daifuku and sencha dacquoise for an afternoon to remember.
