Turtle Hatching
At Six Senses Kanuhura, nature follows her own rhythm and there’s no set season for sea turtle nesting. Through our partnership with the Atoll Marine Centre, we’re beginning to uncover the mysteries of these gentle visitors. Green sea turtles nest year-round, with hatchlings emerging 50 to 70 days later to begin their ocean journey. If a nest is due to hatch during your stay, you can sign up for a personal call from our resident sea turtle biologist. When the moment arrives, join our Turtle Team on the beach, alongside fellow guests and hosts, to witness and celebrate this magical event under the stars.
Duration
As nature cannot be rushed, hatchings are wonderfully unpredictable and may take anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour.
