Six Senses Krabey Island produces still and sparkling drinking water for guests and hosts to minimize the carbon footprint that results from the packaging and transport of water - it tastes great too! At Earth Lab, our center for environmental education and zero waste, we upcycle and recycle waste materials into new products. This limits our negative impact on the local environment while continuing to increase our operational efficiency.

As a result of sustainable planning, our resort blends into the natural vegetation, creating an environment that has become a paradise for birds and butterflies.
A recent biodiversity study of our island conducted by Fishing Cat Ecological Enterprise identified endangered Indochinese Silvered Langurs. The latest survey found 51 species of bird including hornbills, Yellow-vented Bulbuls, Green Imperial-Pigeons, Oriental Magpie-Robins, White-rumped Shamas, and Pacific Reef-Herons to name a few.
Under the guidance and recommendations of experts, we will be using these results to care for the natural habitat and maximize its value for the wildlife we share the island with.

We worked with independent marine biologist to conduct the assement of current situation of marine life aroun Krabey Island. The survey identified a variety of species, including commercially valuable fish found in Cambodian waters. According to the report, more than 30 species of fish were recorded, 12 types of invertebrates, and 11 genera of coral. Species include Rabbitfish, Emperor, Sweetlips, Parrotfish, Grouper, Giant Clam and Coral-Eating Snail.
We work hand in hand with our local Khmer communities to support school programs, participate in development initiatives, facilitate health and safety, and learning and training leading to a brighter future.

In collaboration with AllKids, an NGO registered in Cambodia, we support and educate vulnerable children from nearby villages through scholarships, facilities, financial assistance for equipment and materials, and career orientation. We also provide digital skills training to teachers at Ream Primary School. In 2025, a total of 1485 individuals in the community gained improved access to education through 30 hours of teaching.

We provide water filters to AllKids, and collaborate with them to supply clean water to Ream Primary School. The project included installing a 4 meter-high concrete stand accommodating a 5,000-liter water tank with a solar pump to reduce pumping costs and increase the amount of water held in storage. We installed three toilet facilities in Preah Vihear Province, providing improved sanitation for 1,000 community members.

In 2025, in collaboration with Ream Primary School, we installed a battery disposal bin accessible to 489 community members, alongside delivering e-waste training to students and teachers. We also conducted plastic awareness workshops, organized an annual plogging event, and led community trash collection initiatives, resulting in 1,170 kg of waste being collected in 2025.
