We all know the feeling. A song ends, but a line stays. You hear it again in the quiet moment before sleep. Sometimes words simply know how to follow us home. The poetry of Kabir, Meera, Rumi, Khusro, and other Bhakti and Sufi voices have been sung, remembered, questioned, and passed from one person to another for centuries. Their words still speak about the human experience: wanting, loving, questioning, letting go, and occasionally getting wonderfully lost in joy.
At Six Senses Vana, writer, singer, storyteller, translator, dancer, and meditator Vipul Rikhi brings these words back into voice. Having spent over a decade with the oral traditions of Kabir and other mystic poets, Vipul moves between folk music, poetry, and stories, making space for old verses to meet present-day lives.
The retreat follows three movements: Songs of Longing, Songs of Freedom, and Songs of Ecstasy. There is no test at the end and no right interpretation to take away. Listen to a song. Sit with a story. Laugh when a poet goes unexpectedly sharp. Follow a line wherever it takes you. Some songs end. The good ones tend to linger.

You do not need to know Kabir from Khusro or arrive with a well-thumbed book of Rumi. If music moves you, stories make you curious, or a good line of poetry tends to stay in your head, you will find plenty to listen to here.
