Sacred Pathways: Forest Bathing and Energy Healing
Guided by certified Usui Reiki Master Frederic Leyre, embark on a wellness and cultural journey to experience the restorative energy of Mount Kurama, sacred mountain and birthplace of Reiki. During a Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) experience among ancient trees, traverse the mountain’s iconic “sea of roots” and ground your energy along the Tree Root Path, just behind Kurama-dera Temple. Founded in 770, the historic Buddhist temple offers grand pavilions and sweeping valley views. Steeped in myth and legend, Mount Kurama is said to be home to mystical spirits and the training ground of young Samurai warriors. Throughout the journey, Frederic will explore your personal intentions to create a tailored experience in harmony with nature.

Approximately six hours, this experience includes two hours of moderate hiking

- Guided tour to Mount Kurama in the north of Kyoto with a certified Usui Reiki Master (up to five guests per group)
- Round-trip transportation from hotel to Kurama station, the starting point of the hike
- Entrance fee to Kurama-dera temple
