In partnership with experts, we focus on preserving biodiversity, restoring desert habitats, and enhancing community involvement in protecting local ecosystems.

Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea selected the Arabian Red Fox as its symbol of conservation. A native to the Hajar and Dhofar Mountains around us, it is vulnerable due to habitat degradation. Wadi Khuff is also home to 82 plant species, 79 mammal species, and 14 bird species. These initial biodiversity results will guide our conservation efforts in the future. Furthermore, we are working towards involving the local community and schools to raise awareness and encourage individual responsibility.
We invest in enriching the communities around us through education programs and authentic experiences that celebrate local culture while also providing economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

Collaborating with local female artisans in the village of Al Harra, we promote the rich tradition of sadu weaving to our guests and hosts by enabling them to showcase and sell their products in our Artisan Pods and at special events. Natural materials including locally sourced wool is spun into yarn and used to weave intricate products including rugs, fashion accessories, and table coverings. In the future, we will be supporting their entrepreneurial efforts by helping them to set up their own online marketplaces and social media content.

The Zero Waste Community project aims to create a sustainable environment by minimizing waste, promoting recycling, and encouraging responsible consumption. Through education, community collaboration, and innovative practices, we strive to reduce environmental impact and inspire lasting change. In 2024, we provided waste segregation bins in a local school, hosted upcycling workshops, and waste management trainings at Tabuk University, providing improved access to waste management to 1,276 local people.
