Six Senses Paro

Year-round destination

Each season brings a special ambience that ranges from sunny days to spring flowers and magical misty mornings that add an extra depth to the environment. No matter when you visit, you'll discover the warm Bhutanese hospitality shining through your entire journey.

    • From December to February, Paro and Thimphu experience sunny days with clear views of incredible mountain ranges.

    • March to May brings warmer weather and beautiful, blooming flowers. During this time, there are many varieties of birds to watch.

    • June to August brings light rain and lush, green landscapes. Several yoga and meditation retreats are held during this season.

    • September to November marks the beginning of autumn displaying clear skies and pleasant weather.

    • In March or April, the Paro Tshechu (festival) is among the biggest in the Kingdom and includes the unfurling of the sacred silk Thangka over an entire building. In October, the three-day Thimphu Tshechu takes place and is dedicated to Bhutan’s most revered saint, drawing people together to celebrate, pray, and receive blessings. It offers visitors a rich cultural experience to enjoy a variety of Chham (masked dances) performed by monks and laymen.
