Six Senses Gangtey
From Punakha, traveling easterly, the road passes through the village of Wangdue Phodrang and climbs past deep ravines with dizzying drops to the little-visited Phobjikha Valley that is home to the quaint rural settlement of Gangtey. At an elevation of 9,843 ft. / 3,000 m. on the western slopes of the Black Mountains, the glacial valley is a designated conservation area and winter home of the endangered black-necked cranes.
