The interiors contrast simple lines with earthy organic tones and a “beauty in the details” vibe, setting a calming and welcoming mood and celebrating authentic Japanese traditions and décor. Quirky touches are inspired by folklore, The Moon Rabbit, and the 11th-century classic Tale of Genji.

Six Senses Kyoto offers 81 guest rooms and suites ranging from 42 to 238 square meters. It’s up to you to choose your view – from our peaceful central courtyard with its biophilic design and garden of seasonal landscapes to the gardens of the neighboring Toyokuni Shrine or the seductive city panorama of treetops, temples, tea shops, and rooftops.

  Kyoto City Accommodation Tax
  In accordance with local regulations, a Kyoto City Accommodation Tax will be applied to all stays.
  Accommodation Tax based on the room rate per person per night:
  - JPY 1,000 accommodation tax for room rates below JPY 50,000
  - JPY 4,000 accommodation tax for room rates from JPY 50,000 to JPY 100,000
  - JPY 10,000 accommodation tax for room rates above JPY 100,000
  
  This tax will be added to your bill at check out, charged per person per night.
  
  Pet Policy
  We welcome fully trained, vaccinated dogs weighing up to 15 kilograms in Deluxe Rooms only, subject to availability.
  An additional fee of JPY 30,000 per room, per night applies (maximum of one dog per room). Paw amenities include a dog bed, toys, towels, toilet sheets, food and water bowls, plus a special in-room dining menu.
  Your pet is welcome inside your room and in designated outdoor areas, provided they remain comfortably enclosed in a carrier.
  Please complete a pet consent form prior to arrival. For further details or inquiries, contact us directly.
Family Plan
- Children aged 5 years and below sharing the same bed with parents (up to one child) stay for free, and eat for free from the children's menu.
  Children aged 6 to 11 years sharing the same bed with their parents (up to one child) stay for free.
  
  For breakfast-inclusive packages, children up to 11 years also enjoy breakfast for free; otherwise, breakfast is charged at 50 percent.
  Orders from children's menu are charged at 100 percent.
  
  Children aged 12 or above are charged adult's price.
  Connecting rooms and multi-bedroom suite are available.
Arrivals And Departures
- Early arrival
  Check-in time is from 3:00 pm. If you'd like to arrive earlier, please reserve and pay for the accommodation from the night before your arrival, which will ensure immediate availability and the best possible arrival experience.
  
  Late departure
  Check-out time is by 12:00 noon. Beyond this time, late check-out charges are applied, subject to availability. If a late check-out is required, we advise you to book the night after.

  We accept all major international credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and JCB.
  
  Cancellation Policy
  Reservations are to be guaranteed by credit card or bank transfer. Full payment is required depending on the rate or dates of your reservation. No refund can be made within those days prior to arrival. Please refer to your reservation confirmation to verify your cancellation policy or feel free to contact our reservations team directly.
