June 10, 2025 - Wide skies. Pine forests that smell like summer. Sandy paths through dunes that lead to swathes of Atlantic rollers. A new chapter begins as we announce Six Senses Comporta. We think you’ll like it here.
Portugal’s Blue Coast is like nowhere else on Earth. The only traffic is the pootle of a beat-up Mini Moke or bicycle ridden barefoot to the market. Families and privacy-seeking stars come here to escape the crowds and yet it is still within striking distance of Lisbon to the north.
Until recently, Pinheirinho was accessible only by special invitation. Much of the 400-hectare estate will remain a protected nature reserve. In fact, Six Senses Comporta is one of a few hand-picked communities coming to life in accordance with strict aesthetic and sustainability guidelines including LEED Silver certification.
The architecture for the 70 guest accommodations and 58 branded residences follows the land’s natural contours. Sand Dune Villas feature curved, organic shapes and warm materials. Forest Villas and Apartments invite the outdoors in. The larger Lake Villas invite you to gather for lazy sun-dappled afternoons.
Six Senses Spa Comporta will be a retreat within a retreat. A place for sunrise yoga, wellness programming, and functional therapies that go beyond skin deep. The wet and thermal facilities are a sanctuary in their own right, while the Alchemy Bar invites you to mix your own natural remedies.
A mindful trail through the resort is inspired by sacred geometry. It leads to an Earth Lab and children’s village for little explorers to join Grow With Six Senses activities built around the six dimensions of wellness.
Kitesurf against the backdrop of distinctive red cliffs. Hone your golf shots on the links or spend an afternoon on the lake or trails. As the sun sets and restaurants and bars twinkle into life, uncork a bottle from a local winemaker paired with the day’s fresh harvest and catch.
Slated to open in 2028, Six Senses Comporta is our third Portuguese property, following the announcement of Six Senses Lisbon and joining Six Senses Douro Valley, which opened in 2015.
