Wonder walks

August 19, 2025 - Wonder while you wander through Thai mangroves, Cambodian jungles, Saudi deserts, or along mountain and coastal trails. Every step uncovers something new, both within and around you.

The map that moves you: follow the Awe Map in Thailand

Take a different path at Six Senses Yao Noi, where a new kind of map guides you on a journey inward. Slow down and find your rhythm in the heart of nature as the Awe Map leads you to five peaceful locations across the resort, designed to gently shift you from seeing to feeling.

Begin at Mai Thai Beach, where the mangrove forest stirs to life with morning light. QR codes offer insightful information about a bat’s wing or the roots of a mangrove, reminding you that everything is connected. Continue to the Waterfall Walk, where jungle calls and birdsong become a moving meditation.

At The Hilltop and Water Sports Beach, pause at ‘san phra phum’ spirit houses to light incense and whisper a hope or blessing. With roots in Thai culture, these offerings honor and invite appreciation for the natural world. End at the Meditation Sala, surrounded by fishtail palms, where a second QR code leads you into a breathwork session.

Walk with purpose and connect to culture in Cambodia

At Six Senses Krabey Island, the simple act of walking takes you straight into the cultural rhythm and heart of Cambodia. Bong Rith, your host, radiates authenticity and genuine warmth as she shares her personal experiences with you.

From Khmer dance sessions on the beach to storytelling after a jungle hike, she brings the island’s spirit to life in small, soulful ways. What resonates isn’t just where she guides you, it’s how she makes you feel on the journey.

Hiking, biking, and paragliding in the Swiss Alps

“The mountains are calling and I must go,” proclaimed John Muir. Six Senses Crans-Montana is a year-round Alpine wonderland. Whether you crave adventure or stillness, options abound: ski in winter, hike or mountain bike in summer, or glide through the sky on a tandem paragliding flight. Capture the valley’s beauty on a guided vineyard hike and wine tasting, complete with a traditional Valaisan lunch in a guérite shelter.

For a more meditative experience, try Sun Salutations on the Summit, a sunrise or sunset hike with sublime views and a mountaintop meal, savoring Swiss breakfast at dawn or fondue at dusk. Or join a foodie trek through well-maintained trails with refreshing local aperitifs and bags of Alpine charm.

Swap two feet for two e-wheels along ancient pathways in Turkey

Set off on a two-wheeled adventure from Six Senses Kaplankaya on a journey through ancient history, tracing a route from Didyma to Miletus. Starting at the Temple of Apollo, you cycle through coastal villages, bird-filled deltas, and quiet farmlands before arriving at Miletus, the birthplace of mathematician and philosopher Thales, for a guided tour and pick-me-up picnic.

Our Sacred Way eBike tour is an active, sustainable, and soul-stirring way to explore Turkey’s natural beauty and storied past.

Go wild with Wadi Rangers in Saudi Arabia

Available from September, the Wadi Rangers Program at Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea invites young explorers on a two-day journey into the impressive natural heart of Wadi Khuff. Designed for hands-on discovery, children learn about geology, biodiversity, and local heritage through scavenger hunts, Earth Lab experiments, and cultural storytelling.

By journey’s end, your little ones will be guardians of the desert, honored in a wrap-up celebration. Filled to the brim with sustainability tips and appreciation for nature, children leave with fond memories and a sense of purpose.
