Rewilding the forest to the east and reviving the Barwara lake
The historic fort has been sensitively preserved and converted, and enjoys a sensational view of the lake and temple. The landscaping integrates purely endemic plants and water features. The property is working with the local community to rewild the forests to the east and revive the sacred lake to its former glory.
Our Journal
Since the 1300s, Fort Barwara, along with neighboring Chauth ka Barwara temple, has been home to many legends. To understand the ethos of our heritage property is to understand the folk symbols and stories surrounding it, even in its most modern avatar as our Six Senses hotel.
