Sustainability in Six Senses Ninh Van Bay
Surrounded by coral reefs and jungle-covered hills, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is home to Ninh Van Greens, Vietnam's first in-resort solar farm. Generating around 26 to 28 percent of the resort's electricity, it also shades Solar Fresh-Cuts, kitchen gardens where herbs, fruits, and vegetables are grown for our restaurants. Sustainability continues throughout the resort, from responsible sourcing and water conservation to waste reduction and composting, helping protect the bay's unique ecosystems while reducing our environmental impact. Guests can discover these initiatives through hands-on experiences at the Earth Lab and Langur Lounge. This is where local culture, and wildlife conservation come to life. Beyond the resort, the Regenerative Impact Fund supports biodiversity restoration and community projects. This helps protect Ninh Van Bay for future generations.

Conservation of the Black-Shanked Douc Langur
The forested hills surrounding Six Senses Ninh Van Bay provide an important habitat for the critically endangered Black-shanked Douc Langur. Through ongoing conservation efforts, the langur population in the Hon Heo mountain area has grown from 109 individuals recorded in 2019 to 211 in 2025. Alongside habitat protection and wildlife monitoring, our conservation awareness initiatives have engaged 457 local community members and students through mangrove planting, school visits, university presentations, wildlife education sessions, and Earth Day exhibitions, helping to inspire long-term stewardship and protection of this remarkable species.

Vietnam Reforestation
In 2025, we launched our first mangrove restoration partnership with the Nha Trang Bay Management Board and the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc Dong. Together with more than 150 hosts, we planted 14,700 mangrove trees across Bay Lagoon and Thi Nai Lagoon, helping to restore coastal ecosystems, protect biodiversity, improve water quality, and strengthen the resilience of Vietnam's coastline.

Coral Restoration
Following storm damage in 2017, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay has continued its long-term coral restoration with ICOE. In 2025, we maintained 80 coral frames, installed 12 new frames, replanted 200 coral fragments, and completed over 250 hours of reef monitoring and maintenance. We also engaged 128 guests in conservation activities. On April 18, 2025, a key milestone was the first recorded natural coral spawning within our restoration area.

Biodiversity Research
Since 2022, biodiversity research at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay has identified 150 species within the surrounding forest, including 10 rare plant species listed on the Vietnam Red Book and IUCN Red List. A significant milestone was the discovery of a new plant species, officially recognized and named Six Senses Turmeric in 2022. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the local ecosystem and support ongoing biodiversity conservation efforts.

Solar Light for All
Through our Solar for Life initiative, we bring safe, reliable solar lighting to homes and communities across Khanh Hoa Province. By installing solar-powered lights and lighting pillars in remote mountainous and ethnic minority communities, the project improves safety after dark, strengthens community connections, and provides dependable lighting during severe weather. Across 2024 and 2025, the initiative has benefited more than 1,330 people.

Education Empowerment
Education is central to our community initiatives at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay. Through scholarships, internships, and employment opportunities, we support local students and help create pathways for future careers. In 2025, more than 1,000 students benefited from educational programs, 138 university students joined sustainability workshops, and 400 books were donated to local schools. We also launched the Beyond Barriers initiative and continued the Sustainable Hospitality Fellowship.

Community Waste Care
Through community-led waste management initiatives, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay promotes environmental awareness and responsible waste practices. In 2025, we continued the Trash to Treasure competition, launched the Master Chef Upcycling Competition, and organized monthly beach clean-ups and conservation activities in Nha Trang Bay. Together, these efforts engaged 232 local residents, hosts, and guests, resulting in the collection of 1,961 kilograms of waste.

Water for All
Through the Water for All initiative, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay improves access to clean drinking water in local communities. In 2025, we installed an RO–UV water filtration system at Ninh Ich Primary School, providing safe drinking water to 200 students and teachers while eliminating the need for 20-litre plastic water bottles. The project also delivered clean water and health awareness sessions to more than 180 students and teachers, promoting long-term wellbeing and sustainability.
