Sustainability at Six Senses Ibiza
Ibiza is home to remarkable biodiversity. As the first BREEAM-certified resort in the Balearics, we focus on natural design and material reuse. Through our Regenerative Impact Fund, we allocate 0.5 percent of total revenue to local initiatives, supporting environmental and conservation projects across the island. Environmental Responsibility
Together with our hosts, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our resort and spa operations, by measuring and reporting our energy, water, waste, and emissions every year.

Hedgehog Rescue and Rehabilitation
We support local hedgehog sanctuary, CanHog, who care for the injured and vulnerable spiky animals that populate our island. Despite national protection, hedgehogs remain threatened by human development, traffic, and pesticides. In 2025, CanHog treated, rehabilitated, and released 290 hedgehogs. To celebrate our native friends, a locally designed hedgehog soft toy is placed in every guest room. Guests who purchase one directly support the sanctuary through our Regenerative Impact Fund.

Regenera Natura
Regenera Natura works to restore Ibiza’s forests by developing forest engineering plans to clear abandoned woodland, replant native species, and restore mixed Mediterranean forests. Through funding and volunteering since 2023, Six Senses Ibiza has so far supported the regeneration and reforestation of 70,000 square meters of land in the municipality of San Joan de Labritja.

Take Care of Our Island
In partnership with Creatives For The Planet, an NGO with socio-environmental impact, and five Ibiza high schools, this project educated 337 community members on nature conservation, marine biodiversity, and the importance of protecting local ecosystems. The initiative also highlighted the impact of plastic pollution on the island through the creation of the sculptural “Fish Bank,” made from 231 kilograms of collected plastic, including 379 recycled Tetra Pak cartons and 24,000 bottle caps.

Living Sustainably: Our Island Partners
The Regenerative Impact Fund keeps growing our support for Ibiza’s community. In 2024-2025, we supported eight local NGOs working on wildlife, environmental, and social projects. Since 2021, we have collected 400 kilograms of waste, rehabilitated 2,018 hedgehogs, created 430 hours of volunteering, regenerated 70,000 square meters of natural habitat, and continue to widen our support for smaller associations across the island. The Learning Center at Can Tanca Farm brings people together to meet, collaborate and learn.

Marine Conservation and Awareness
Learn and Protect is a marine education program created by Vellmari’s marine biologists and funded through our Regenerative Impact Fund since 2023.The association provides schools across Ibiza and Formentera with accessible resources and educational tools to inspire curiosity, build environmental responsibility, and empower young people to protect the marine environment. In 2025 this project reached 2,567 people across the community.
