Beyond the blue

June 9, 2026 - Away from golden beaches and turquoise waters, a new color palette emerges this summer. White for Ibiza’s softer side. Red for Portugal’s vineyards. Green for an ethos woven through every landscape and experience.

  • Three people sit together on a blanket with pillows and food in a sunlit garden, surrounded by greenery, outside a vine-covered white house.
  • Two people in a wooden boat glide along a tranquil river. Green trees line the banks, with hills and a clear sky visible in the distance.

Sink into the calm of Can Tanca farm on Ibiza’s White Isle and taste the deep reds of Portuguese wines through summer adventures with nature at their heart.

Workshops and wild beauty in Ibiza

There is a place in the northern heartlands of Ibiza where you can still get a taste of the real White Isle. Can Tanca farm beats to the rhythm of cicadas, not electronic music. Warmed by the Mediterranean sun, watered by an ancient well, and gently tended by two dedicated farmers, Kobi and Beatrice, the finca is only a short transfer (by electric VW van, of course) from Six Senses Ibiza.

Set among deep-rooted olive trees, the Farm Learning Center serves as a living classroom for guests and the local community. Through a hands-on program of workshops and experiences, it offers a more grounded way to connect with the island. While sobrasadas (Balearic sausages) sizzle on the grill, Kobi or Beatrice guide you around the farm. Wander down neat rows of kohlrabi, beetroot, tomatoes, and other seasonal goodness, plucking and tasting the freshness as you go.

They’ll let you in on the secrets of the soil, telling you about the plants, herbs, flowers, and seeds that thrive here. Listen to the story of how it all began before gathering for a generous farm-to-fork brunch.

Those with a sweet tooth can learn to bake traditional Flaó, wrapped in buttery pastry and fragrant with local flavors, before joining an expert alchemist to blend hand-picked botanicals into aromatic liqueurs. Families and animal lovers can also help care for rescued hedgehogs through a local rewilding charity partnership.

Can Tanca is many things: a thriving organic farm that feeds our resort kitchens, a place for finding meaning in the earth, and a space for creating in all its many forms. Check out a local school’s mural art at the entrance and our artist-in-residence Caroline Renequin’s colorful abstracts that brighten the walls of our whitewashed finca.

Our current offers take you straight to the heart of this mystical Mediterranean island.

Sips and stories in Portugal

Staying within one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world leads you straight to the perfect pour. For connoisseurs and the curious alike, raise a glass and toast to an unforgettable wine adventure at Six Senses Douro Valley.

Begin in the Wine Library, where our sommelier introduces you to the fundamentals of Portuguese winemaking and tasting. Daily tasting sessions let you sample regional low-impact wines and Ports from top producers, opening a window into the fertile terroir of the valley.

The story deepens over dinner. Join a local winemaker for an evening of conversation and discovery as regional varietals are paired with a menu created by our wine director and chef. Explore organic and natural wines, Portuguese grape varieties, Port wines, and even the art of choosing the right glass.

Nearby, centuries-old cellars hold onto their secrets, where rare cask wines await tasting. For a different perspective, drift along the river aboard a vintage boat, gliding past steeply terraced vineyards where grapes continue to be harvested by hand and crushed by foot.

Explore our summer offers and settle into the stories poured into every glass.

Whether you leave with earth beneath your fingernails in Ibiza or a deeper appreciation for Portuguese vintages, experiences that connect you to the land flow straight from the soil into your soul.
