City calm

November 10, 2026 - Movement meets mindfulness in the newly opened magnesium pool at Six Senses London, while Japanese facials go beyond skin deep at Six Senses Kyoto. Float into wellbeing in the city.

  • Indoor pool with curving architecture, natural light, poolside seating, greenery, and gentle lighting reflected on the water—designed for well-being and sustainability.
  • Wellness space featuring two massage tables with white sheets and orange accents, a wooden chair, and a staff member preparing the serene treatment area.
  • An indoor pool area with a person swimming and another seated by the pool. Soft lighting highlights wall art and wooden partitions for a tranquil setting.

Still the city at Six Senses London

The thermal circuit at Six Senses London is designed to release tension and make you go aaah. Prepare for your contrast therapy journey in our magnesium pool before moving between a cold plunge, sauna, and steam.

Spanning 2,300 square meters, the spa is purposefully set apart from the capital’s energy. Hidden beneath the hotel, softly lit, catacomb-like corridors lead you deeper into a world where the sounds of the city give way to silence. Vaulted ceilings and natural light set the scene, while elegant Parisian tiles, a glass-block wall, and Mogliano stone accents bring to mind a 20th-century European metro.

Sensory and soothing in equal measure, the flotation pod wraps you in complete stillness, while signature treatments, including the De Mamiel Body Reset and Facial, are layered and restorative. The kind that softens the body and steadies the mind.

A Biohack Recovery Lounge, yoga and mindful movement studios, and dedicated treatment spaces take you through cryotherapy, red-light therapies, and a traditional hammam. From high-tech wellness to hands-on healing, there are plenty of ways to emerge ready for the city once again.

Our current offers include extra nights on us, spoiling amenities, and a sprinkling of festive sparkle.

Skin deep at Six Senses Kyoto

Taking cues from the aesthetics and spiritual traditions of Japanese culture, our two new facial treatments offer a more intentional way to relax at Six Senses Kyoto. Turning the familiar saying “beauty is only skin deep” on its head, both experiences go beyond surface-level results for naturally radiant skin.

Hake Kiyome: purifying brush facial

Hake Kiyome takes inspiration from the Japanese concept of purification. The treatment begins with gentle, friction-free cleansing using premium Tokuoka cotton before two handmade Edo-style brushes deeply cleanse and stimulate the skin. Cool ice-water bulbs then soothe and refresh, leaving your skin clear and your mind clearer.

Omote: contouring facial

Inspired by Noh theater and its philosophy of embracing beauty beyond appearances, Omote celebrates natural definition over the pursuit of anti-aging. Calligraphy brushes and foot reflexology help release tension, while a warm plaster mask gently contours your face. The experience concludes with the sound of an orin chime, as you sink into quiet reflection.
