Fresh catch in Thailand

At Six Senses Yao Noi, your evening meal starts first thing in the morning, long before we set the table. Join the local fishers on a longtail boat carving through the bay’s silent waters as dawn breaks over the island. Before you know it, you’ll find yourself hauling in the net, sleeves wet and heart pounding with exhilaration.

As the sun shines on the limestone karsts, you’ll already have landed a haul of snapper, squid, and blue swimmer crab. Return to Nithan, the resort’s garden restaurant, and learn more about Southern Thai cuisine through a chef-led cooking class. Discover how fragrant stalks of lemongrass and handfuls of holy basil, plucked fresh from the organic garden, combine with the sour hit of tamarind and the heat of bird’s eye chili, both grown a short boat ride away.

On two wheels

Explore further on one of the resort’s bicycles, pedaling past rubber trees and roadside food stalls. Pull up when something smells good and dig into sizzling street eats, perhaps banana roti pancakes or Gai Yang, grilled chicken skewers.

From sea to soil, it all comes full circle as you sit down for dinner at Hilltop Restaurant to feast on the day’s catch. Dig into freshly grilled fish topped with just the right amount of heat and herbs. Or make your way to Mai Thai Beach for a Fisherman’s Dinner, toes in the sand and the sunset framing anchored longtail boats just waiting to go out again at daybreak.

This is Eat With Six Senses in its clearest expression: understanding Koh Yao Noi through what its fisherfolk catch and farmers grow. Our current offers let you linger a little longer and get to know the island and its cuisine a little better.

Nonna’s recipes in Italy

Six Senses Rome knows a thing or two about getting the recipe for life just right. From morning cappuccino in BIVIUM Restaurant-Café-Bar to evening aperitivo on NOTOS Rooftop and all the delicious meals in between, we bring people together, one table at a time. Celebrate the flavors and flair of Roman cuisine with hands-on cooking classes and a multi-course private palazzo dining experience.

Don your apron in the warm embrace of a chef’s private home and learn how to prepare an authentic Italian meal from scratch. Using fresh, seasonal ingredients, you’ll cook traditional dishes using modern techniques. With flour on your hands and sauce simmering on the stove, it’s always a fun and flavorful experience.

As you cook together, you’ll discover the stories behind each dish, learning the secrets of Nonna’s recipes that have been passed down through the generations. Once the meal is ready, it’s time to sit down and savor your creations.

On top of the world

For a sky-high adventure, remove your apron and dust the flour from your hands before heading to the rooftop of a neighboring private Roman palazzo for a refined evening meal. Take your place for an indulgent dinner framed by Eternal City views stretching out in every direction. Raise a glass to the stars and enjoy the classic tastes and aromas of Roman cuisine. Your table awaits.

Seasonal offers let you map out a classic Roman holiday, with plenty for food lovers and families alike. Whenever you stay, the cuisine (and gelato) will always be delicious.
