In London in 2006 she discovered her passion for yoga which led her to receive 800-hr Yoga Teacher Certifications in Vinyasa, Hatha Tantra, Kundalini and Jivamukti Yoga. In addition, she graduated with Honors in Health Education at Maryland University, US and as a Holistic Health Coach at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York.
Sonia started working for major corporations as a wellness specialist teaching yoga and holistic practices and taught corporate yoga programs in Washington DC. Sonia recently studied and worked in India, Bhutan, and Indonesia with local gurus and today she presents on TV channels and develops well-being programs, collaborates as a writer for women’s magazines in US and UK, and develops holistic health programs for female entrepreneurs around the world combining technology and innovative holistic health approaches.
In this coaching session you will learn the importance of focusing on relationships, spirituality, career, physical activity and overall health. We will focus on bio-individuality based on age, gender, blood type, personal goals, and level of activity. After this session you will understand how to live life holistically with a deeper foundation and education that will help you to navigate through the challenges that may occur in your path and establish your personal routine accordingly in order to change your habits effectively. This includes a route map and strategy based on your personal needs to improve the quality of your daily life as a woman.
Jivamukti is a physical and spiritual practice, combining a vigorous yoga as exercise, vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: Shastra (scripture), Bhakti (devotion), Ahimsā (nonviolence, non-harming), Nāda (music), and Dhyana (meditation). This practice is ideal for practitioners that are looking for a physical practice with deep philosophical teachings and creative approaches. The Jivamukti Yoga Private In-Class (or ICP) is a unique way to experience yoga. From beginning to end, the student practices with the hands on assists of Sonia’s private session, who safely guides them through every minute of the class ensuring correct alignment in all asanas as well as deep understanding of all other components of the class. ICP always conclude with a special deep relaxation yoga massage in Shavasana. This is the ultimate yoga class experience. Suitable for all levels including beginners, and it can also be practiced in the water at our outdoor pool.
Yoga practice where postures (asanas) link into one another through the breath for a transformative and balancing effect. It can be seen as a moving meditation which builds heat, endurance, flexibility and strength. In combination with journaling, we will infuse this yoga practice with deep inquiry re-connecting participants to themselves through writing based on the technique Morning Pages. Nothing will get you more focused, aligned and toned than working with your core. This practice improves your posture, strengthens your abdominal muscles, and clears the mental clutter. All levels including beginners.
Deep meditative practice where postures (asanas) are held for 3-5min where you will learn to love yourself and your world with the practice of RAIN (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nourish) inspired by the Radical Compassion practices by Tara Brach. All levels. It can also be practiced in the water at our outdoor pool.
Mindfulness meditation techniques, lucid dreaming and breathwork to foster stillness of the mind, the ability to be present with whatever arises, heal the body, and wake up intuition and insights. It is combined with Crystal Reiki and Tibetan Singing bowls technique tailor made according to individual needs.
