As adventure travel rises, Six Senses Svart is an opportunity to protect the nature you’re here to experience. It will demonstrate how today’s travelers can contribute to our planet’s sustainable growth through a guest journey that has a net-zero environmental impact without sacrificing modern-day living frills and comforts. From zero-waste dining to hiking, ice-climbing, night-fishing, the Aurora Borealis in winter and yoga in the midnight sun in summer, Six Senses Svart will leave you with deeper awareness and a profound sense of tranquility.
Sustainability
Building a unique environment through cutting-edge design and superior craftsmanship comes with clear obligations. Creating a sustainable destination through an optimized resort operation requires us to harvest enough solar energy to go back into the system, covering the hotel, adjacent operations, boat shuttle, and the energy needed to construct the building – rendering it independent from the power grid.
Six Senses Svart is cradled within the incredible Helgeland coastline, close to both Bodø and the Nordic gem, Lofoten, and just above the Arctic Circle.
Located within the arctic wilderness of Norway’s Meløy municipality, it will perch atop the crystal-clear waters of the Holandsfjorden fjord, at the base of the glacier itself.
