November 6, 2019 - With lots of extra space and a dedicated service host, our reserves and retreats mean you can pay your whole tribe some undivided attention in a palatial home away from home.
If you like to take your entire tribe on vacation with you, we offer a bit of extra space to reconnect with each other and carve out some quality family time together. What’s more, you’ll still have full access to all the Six Senses amenities and activities right on your doorstep. Who even needs a WiFi code?
The four-bedroom Beachfront Reserve offers even more space and privacy than the accommodations at the main resort, while boasting unparalleled levels of comfort and access to our facilities. It also benefits from a live-in butler service to cater to your every need.
It is located at the secluded end of Six Senses Zighy Bay with its own stretch of private sandy beach and a 60-feet (17-meter) infinity swimming pool. At 32,290 square feet (3,000 square meters), the private villa can sleep up to eight adults and four children, making it a special location for family holidays and special occasions.
Flanked between the spectacular views of the Gulf of Oman and the lunar-like limestone mountains of Oman’s Musandam Peninsula, the compound has an exclusive entrance and feels like a world away, yet it is only a two-hour drive from Dubai International Airport. It has been carefully designed to reflect the traditional, local Omani architecture with its entrance leading to an open courtyard which overlooks the three sequestered buildings. Families can make the most of the space for relaxation and group in-villa dining thanks to multiple living and dining areas. There is also a personal in-villa spa, fitness and yoga studio, wine cellar and staff quarters as well as a Majalis (meeting space) with a capacity of up to 100 guests.
You can combine this Arabian Palace of Wonders with a stay on our traditional Omani dhow. The handcrafted Dhabab, which means golden in Arabic, is reminiscent of the golden age of Arabian voyages as it cruises the rugged Musandam fjords at a leisurely 10 knots.
Over a three-day, two-night (minimum) odyssey, the Dhabab explores the coast of Musandam where the Hajar Mountains tower over quaint fishing villages, stopping to rest along the way in secluded bays bursting with marine life. Time can be spent kayaking, fishing, beachcombing, swimming or doing absolutely nothing. There are also options to take a cooking class with the chef, book a bespoke dive or bring a spa therapist.
On board, there is a well-appointed spacious king bed cabin with a large bathroom and oval bathtub on the lower deck, two twin bed cabins with en suite bathroom on the lower deck, and spacious sun deck for sunbathing and stargazing on the upper deck.
Back on shore, the new facilities at the children’s and teens’ clubs will keep kids of all ages amused while making your holiday a little more relaxing. The Chaica’s Club is for children 4 to 10 and offers a host of fun activities including rock painting, Olympic Games, sand art, treasure hunts, pizza making and feeding the Zighy goats. Al Feetean's Club for teenagers includes adventure hikes, wadi swimming, canyoning or just learning new skills like archery, raft building and abseiling.
With a total space of 5,380 square feet (500 square meters), the Ocean Retreat offers two bedrooms, a large air-conditioned living and dining room, separate outdoor dining patio, vast outdoor pool and uninterrupted views out to Phang Nga Bay. It also enjoys direct access to the beach. Larger families can also reserve the interconnecting Ocean Deluxe Pool Villa to extend the luxurious accommodation to a three-bedroom complex that sleeps seven.
The gentle waters surrounding this lovely island are ideal for family watersports – everything from kayaking to diving and waterskiing. You can set sail for the site immortalized by 007 in “The Man with the Golden Gun” and channel your inner secret agent. From there you can visit other islands or stay on our shores for batik painting, cycling, Muay Thai boxing and Thai cooking classes.
Another must, while you’re with us, is a visit to a rubber tree plantation to see how rubber is traditionally produced. Make sure you stop by our farm, where Chicken Mamma (Khun Pim) will give you a tour of her organic chicken farm, and where the air is filled with soft jazz on the surround sound.
Then head back to the villa to lounge on the terrace area or swim yourself to the edge of infinity!
